SURFING IN Carmel Beach, Monterey, California, USA

So you want to surf on a beautiful beach and see how the 1% live?  Head to the surf breaks at Carmel Beach.  Carmel is nestled in the outer edge of the Monterey Peninsula, just south of the famed Pebble Beach neighborhood (where they charge you 10 bucks just for the privilege of driving through the neighborhood so avoid that route).  The area around Carmel Beach is both upscale and amazingly beautiful nature, with sweeping beaches, nestled coves and tidepools, and crystal clear ocean water.
