Surfing in Byron Bay, Australia

Surfing in Byron Bay, Australia is one of the few experiences that truly lives up to the hype.  The main surf spots are off of Cape Byron, a little finger of a peninsula that catches swells from both directions and protects from wind.  If the conditions aren't good on one side of the cape, just hop to the other.
